Botánicas

In opposition to books of world comparative religions and Anthropology museums (and similarly to airport decommission counters) the Botánica stores constitute a non-ideologically motivated display of evidences on matters of multicultural intermix of faiths. With the present photographic series I focus on the iconic friction occurring when ritual artifacts from diverse religious creeds concourse in a space consecrated, above all, to worship their value of change: A marketplace for objects with the assigned mission of dealing with forces of the spiritual realms.
